welcome BACK to my house. my domain. only real ones know me from my kinda freaky series, please dont read this! these were written in a dark period of my life where i was suffering severe psychosis, and the only thing that helped me continue to power through was to ventdump onto my own little freak interpretations of characters. i am totally normal now definitely but also i have decided to return to my house domain so you never know ect ect.
many of you must be absolutely busting at the seams with questions, so ive decided to have no input from anyone at all and make up my own!

omg! thank you for asking! alex and jay are two sides of the same coin. enjoying hurting or being hurt is an odd phenomenon by itself (ie- sadomasochism) but when you take it to the extreme, as they did, i think it's even more interesting! alex finds killing and hurting sexual in nature and may possibly see it as a way to show affection whilst jay will take anything anyone will give him as long as in turn they love him, although he still does find some sexual enjoyment in it, obviously. these two are drawn to each other because of these traits and their extremism and are inadvertedly using each other to fulfil their subconscious desires. they're destroying each other but they need each other, because they would be far more dangerous (either to themselves or others) if they had nothing to 'let out' on. i also just WANTED them to be fucked up, to fulfil my own subconscious desires. lol.
another wonderful question!!!! please don't read this, or pdrt as it will now be called, is set in a marble hornets au where i guess alex and jay sort of work together, although the operator isn't really a thing that exists in the way it does in the actual webseries. the operator is as much as it is metaphysical as it is truly real. it exists FOR alex and jay, real, watching, hunting, and it is their feelings for one another. the operator is their symbiotic relationship, the operator is a predator lurking in the dark, the operator wants seth and amy dead. alex and jay are drawn to them not only because it is easy and convenient, but because the operator wants them gone. the goal is near the same, but everything's just a little different. that's why they still have to die. (if you're one of those people who theorise that seth is apart of totheark, i love you, but your theory doesn't fit in pdrt, sorry)
